TAX ACCOUNTANT
We are looking for an energized and engaged individual with a “work hard/play hard” mindset and exceptional communication skills to join our firm as a Tax Accountant. The ideal person can manage their workload, as well as work with other team members to provide quality service to every client.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years in public accounting or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- CPA or EA certification or working towards CPA or EA certification
- Well-rounded knowledge of accounting concepts
- Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage workload, priority shifts, timelines and client requests
Responsibilities:
- Tax return preparation (individual, S Corporation, C Corporation & Partnership)
- Direct communication with federal, state and local tax agencies
- Manage all aspects of client’s accounts
- Utilize software, systems and processes to provide accurate reports and tax returns within the necessary timeframe
- Accounting services using QuickBooks to complete bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, and financial statements
- Build relationships with clients through knowledge sharing, dependability and communication skills
- Ensure various components of the tax process are completed – including tax projections, tax returns and special projects
- Identify areas that would benefit our clients’ financial growth
