About the Opportunity
A well-established and financially stable organization is seeking a Tax Accountant to join its growing corporate tax team. The individual will assist with federal and state income tax compliance, tax provision reporting, audit support, and various tax-related projects. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to expand their technical tax knowledge and develop within a corporate tax environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state corporate income tax returns, including book-to-tax adjustments and state apportionment calculations
- Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations
- Calculate and process quarterly estimated tax payments
- Support federal and state tax audits by gathering documentation and assisting with information requests
- Research and respond to tax notices from federal and state taxing authorities
- Participate in tax planning initiatives, due diligence projects, and other special tax-related assignments
- Provide general support to the tax department and contribute to process improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- tax experience required; public accounting experience is preferred
- Understanding of federal and xhqgsiq state income tax compliance concepts
- Knowledge of tax and accounting principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with corporate tax software such as CorpTax, OneSource Tax Provision, Alteryx, or similar tools is a plus
