Finance DirectorThe Tarik for Congress Campaign for MA-05 is seeking a Finance Director. The Finance Director is a senior staff level position that will report to and work with the campaign manager and the candidate to build and execute a multi-million-dollar finance plan that engages stakeholders at the local, state, and national level. The Director will also be responsible for staffing and assisting with call time management and follow-up.
This is a full-time, in-person position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance team and execute a finance plan to meet ambitious fundraising goalsDraft and regularly update a comprehensive finance plan that outlines total fundraising goals, income by tool and sets weekly, monthly, and quarterly projectionsPlan, execute, and maintain a high yielding events and call-time programDevelop and strengthen relationships with donors, partners, and committeesRegularly staff the candidate at fundraisers and other political events in the districtEnsure regular and accurate maintenance of finance records, trackers, and databasesResearch and target prospective donors and steward existing donorsCollaborate and communicate with senior staff on fundraising matters for cash-flow conversationsStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsExceptional attention to detail and willingness to ask questionsOther duties as assigned by the Candidate or Campaign Manager, based on the needs of the campaignQualifications:At least 2 cycles of campaign experience in a highly-competitive legislative or congressional campaign; in a senior finance role for at least one of those cyclesExperience managing candidate call time and planning high-dollar fundraising eventsProficiency in G-Suite, NGP, ActBlue, and familiarity with call time software (e.g. Calltime.ai) as well as federal campaign finance lawStrong interpersonal skills, very well organized, and extremely detail orientedProfessional demeanor and willingness to adapt to a changing environmentPrevious experience managing staff is preferredAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work a campaign's irregular hours, including some nights and weekendsAccess to cell phone, laptop, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportationCompensation:The salary range for this position is $5,500 – $8,500/month, commensurate with experience.Equal Opportunity Statement:Tarik for Congress is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an environment that celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion.
