Job Title: Tableau Developer (Data Visualization & Analytics)
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months with possible extension or convert to FTE.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Tableau Developer to design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards that transform complex business data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Tableau, SQL, data modeling, and data visualization best practices, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.
Gather and translate business requirements into intuitive visualizations and data stories.
Develop advanced Tableau features, including drill-downs, hierarchical navigation, heat maps, box plots, trend analysis, parameters, actions, LOD expressions, table calculations, and dynamic formatting.
Optimize dashboard performance, scalability, and accuracy.
Validate data quality and troubleshoot data and visualization issues.
Collaborate with data engineers to define, refine, and optimize data models for reporting.
Partner with business analysts to refine metrics, KPIs, wireframes, and functional requirements.
Create and maintain dashboard documentation, mapping specifications, test cases, and testing scripts.
Follow Tableau best practices for usability, performance, and visualization design.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on Tableau dashboard development experience.
3+ years of SQL experience with joins, aggregations, subqueries, and data validation.
Strong knowledge of Tableau dashboard design, calculations, parameters, filters, actions, and performance tuning.
Experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Oracle.
Solid understanding of data modeling concepts.
Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Tableau Certified Data Analyst or equivalent certification.
Experience in Pharma, Life Sciences, R&D, or Clinical Data.
Experience developing dashboards for enterprise-scale analytics environments.
Knowledge of Tableau performance optimization techniques.

Role Expectations
Hands-on Tableau development role with daily Tableau and SQL work.
Independently build and maintain dashboards.
Analyze complex data, solve visualization challenges, and deliver high-quality analytics solutions in an agile environment.
Work onsite in Basking Ridge, NJ, three days per week.
