Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and conduct experiments to assess system performance and verify product requirements
- Develop and execute test methods, strategies, and formal verification protocols
- Analyze and interpret scientific data using engineering principles, statistical methods, and scientific theory
- Communicate results, risks, and customer impact through reports, design reviews, and technical discussions
- Lead small- to medium-sized protocols/initiatives, including project planning and risk-based test strategy development
- Collaborate with systems, software, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve product quality
- Apply systems thinking and independent judgment to identify root causes and drive improvements
- Follow design control, quality, biosafety, and workplace safety requirements
- 0 - 5 years overall; minimum 3 years of experience developing, engineering, integrating, and testing complex systems
- Flow cytometry operation, applications, and troubleshooting
- Systems verification and validation
- Test method, protocol, and strategy development
- Experimental design and scientific data analysis
- Systems thinking, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving
- Biological sample preparation and Biosafety Level 2 lab practices
- Medical device design controls and regulated quality systems
- Technical writing and cross-functional communication
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- Ability to prepare and handle human blood/blood products in a Biosafety Level 2 wet lab
- Working knowledge of statistics and experience analyzing/presenting scientific data
- Understanding of multidisciplinary systems (optics, lasers, fluidics, electromechanical components, software, immunology)
