Systems Tool DeveloperLocation: Redmond, WA – OnsiteRole and Responsibilities:Develop and debug tools for system debug/monitoring/validation/stress.Develop application/system software, libraries to interface with the firmware/hardware devices.Design and run tests to quantify the tools functionality on new processors.Skills Required:6 to 8 years (2-3 years relevant) of SW development experience.Experience in developing benchmarking/system software tools on PCs or Server Platforms.Proficiency in debugging software on C/C++ and C#.Scripting and data engineering skills in Python.Experience in automating system software and validating tools using Python/PowerShell.Experience in data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings.Ability to effectively define, prioritize, and complete tasks asynchronously.Experience in measuring and improving software performance.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with workload analysis and profiling tools in Linux and Windows environments.Experience in porting Linux C/C++ code to Windows.Understanding of similarities and differences between Windows and Linux internals.Familiarity with 32-bit or 64-bit assembly (any processor).
