Aviation Systems Test Engineer 2We are seeking a full-time Aviation Systems Test Engineer 2 at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this position you will work hands on with Garmin's Integrate Flight Deck, testing industry-changing and life-saving innovations, such as our recently introduced Emergency Autoland, which will revolutionize general aviation.

This role will challenge you to find new and unique ways to test innovative Avionics features as they are being developed. You will have opportunities to collaborate with both Garmin's customers, as well as internal software teams to ensure that requirements are being implemented correctly.Essential Functions:Provides system testing support for developmental requirements of OEM programsCommunicates status and schedule for the system testing needs applicable to planned deliveriesProvides feedback to development teams to ensure solutions are designed to meet system testing needsProvides troubleshooting support to identify the system root causeProvides clear and sufficient detail about issues observed with details sufficient for internal or external customersIdentifies and implements improvements to system testing processes and toolsIdentifies improvements and modifies tools for use in system testingProvides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniquesBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or another related field AND a minimum of 1 year relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experienceExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)Demonstrates knowledge of several complex integrated avionic functionsDemonstrates mastery of relevant tools for use in system testingDemonstrates advanced troubleshooting skillsDriven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problemsDemonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsMust be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with othersDesired Qualifications:Previous work or internship experience with Garmin related productsPilot's LicensePrevious work or internship experience with consumer or aviation productsGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
