Systems Specialist (Lighting and AV Control)The Systems Specialist will work with the project design leads for AV and lighting to develop comprehensive control systems. The Systems Specialist is expected to participate in creating drawings, schedules, and specifications packages. The Systems Specialist will be responsible for communicating with the design leads and understanding the project's objectives.

They will also work with the design staff to develop project deliverables, as detailed in the project description and contract.The Systems Specialist may also assist in on-site installation supervision, integration, and programming for projects. Depending on project bandwidth, the Systems Specialist may be required to use ladders and lifts to install control equipment. The may also be tasked with providing support to other designers as needed.Job Responsibilities:Participate and lead control design projects Coordinate with Lighting and AV design leadsCoordinate with the internal design team to produce milestone deliverables.Support other lead designers Support other designers as needed, based on project needsProvide equipment research and communicate with manufacturersProduce design documents Control one-line diagramsSchedules, reports, and specification packagesAttend project meetings and provide meeting agendas and notes as neededPerform QAQC on all client deliverablesTravel to the project site and client meetings as requiredContinue professional development and education for emerging technologiesPerforms other related duties as assigned.Requirement Capabilities:Theater, Film/TV, Theme Park, and/or Museum Design and Specification ExperienceExpert in either 3D drafting in either Vectorworks or AutoCADWorking knowledge of theatrical control designWorking knowledge of architectural and facility requirements and integration of control equipment into an attraction, museum, or live eventUnderstanding of the creative processMust be able to read architectural blueprints and interpret electrical drawings3+ years experience in control and show designAbility to deliver on a Project's established scope, schedule, and budgetStrong understanding of current technology and industry standards for all aspects of control design, as applied to live show and facility infrastructure systemsAbility to work flexible hours - nights, weekends, holidaysProficient in Microsoft Office and/or G SuitePossess excellent communication skills; highly motivated; can accept direction easily.Fluent in English (written and spoken)Desired Capabilities:Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign)Experience with LightwrightAbility to work closely with all relevant staff to prioritize, organize, instruct, and problem-solve during installation, content integration, and programmingTravel is estimated at 50%The Systems Specialist reports to the Director of Systems.Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000Additional Information:The right candidate has strong organizational skills, the ability to manage deadlines, prioritize, and adjust as needed.

It's important that you enjoy or have had experience working in entertainment, theme parks, museums, and theatrical experiences.Successful candidates may be required to travel domestically and internationally and must be comfortable working closely with clients and vendors of different cultural backgrounds. Successful candidates must have a valid passport with no travel restrictions or the ability to obtain one within 6 weeks after employment.This position is a Full Time Permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
