They will also develop safety analyses to ensure design integrity and safety.
The Systems Safety Engineer will support commercial certification or military safety review boards as required by the program. ASA, SSA)Particular Risk Analysis (PRA)Zonal Safety Analysis (ZSA)Common Mode Analysis (CMA)Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA)Operational & Support Hazard Analysis (O&SHA)Health Hazard Analysis (HHA)System/Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SHA/SSHA)Hazardous MaterialsFailure Modes and Effects Criticality Analyses (FMECA)Safety Assessment Report (SAR)Experience in conducting system safety analysis including fault tree creation, FMEA and FMECA generation and failure investigationsExperience in completing Reliability Engineering principles or statistical analyses, such as Markov analysis, Weibull analysis (fleet risk assessment), reliability allocations and predictions, maintainability procedures, LORA (Level of Repair Analysis), Etc.A working knowledge of gas turbine engines with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of turbomachinery failure modes, including manufacturing methods, is desiredComprehension of electro-mechanical components and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering principles is desiredAbility to assess system designs for maintainability and develop work instructions is desiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficient using of Microsoft Office toolsU.S. citizenship is requiredPosition may require the ability to obtain a U.S.
