Job Description
Join an industry-leading aerospace innovator developing advanced laser, lidar, and electro-optic technologies that support high-impact missions across atmospheric sensing, laser communications, and next-generation space systems. The Research & Development team in Herndon, VA is expanding and seeking a Systems Integrator / Test Engineer who thrives in hands-on, multidisciplinary engineering environments.
As the Systems Integrator Test Engineer, you will need to have a multi-disciplined engineering education and experience background with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fluid, power, and computer systems, integration and test.You will support the design, integration, and testing of complex space-based laser, lidar, electro-optical, and electronic systems.While most of the work will be hands-on, as a Systems Integrator/ Test Engineer you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting design efforts; defining test requirements; and generating component, assembly, and system level test documentation; then lead the execution of these integration and test activities.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Developtest processes, test equipment designs, test configuration set-ups andsystems integration using proven methodologies and techniques.
  • Designof deliverable hardware, as well as ground support and special testequipment.
  • Requirementsmanagement and traceability to system verification and validation.
Job Requirements
Experience and Expertise Required:
  • Experiencein Systems Engineering and/or other engineering disciplines with anemphasis on test requirements development, test planning, testdocumentation, and systems integration, verification, and validation.
  • Experiencewith developing and/or managing system requirements.
  • Experiencewith space-based, electro-optic hardware integration is a plus.
  • U.S.citizenship is required.
  • ActiveSecret Clearance preferred
  • Aminimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Bachelor'sDegree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), with aMaster's Degree in engineering preferred.
