The principles and drills of the CANOO Way have been fundamental to our success, our ability to grow, continuously improve, innovate and are at the core of our day-to-day operations.Job PurposeThe Systems Engineer, Validation, Testing, & Diagnostics will lead a methodical approach to validating and improving vehicle and system level requirements. They will create test specifications and report any issues found during testing.

Additionally, they will work with both software and hardware teams to follow up and resolve issues found during testing.Responsibilities (80s of the Position)Develop detailed test plans for vehicle features to evaluate performance, reliability and functional implementationGenerate diagnostic strategies which integrate with vehicle control logicDefine requirements for UDS items (e.g. service routines, DTCs, etc)Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure diagnostic coverage of vehicle functionalityCoordinate with cross functional teams to ensure delivery of diagnostic functionalitySupport testing at both the vehicle and system level to verify diagnostic functionalityRequired ExperienceStrong working knowledge of Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), candidate must be able to design and specify UDS test strategies using multiple diagnostic servicesWorking knowledge of vehicle communication protocols, such as CAN, CANFD, LIN, and Automotive EthernetExperience writing requirements at the vehicle, system, and component levelBachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or equivalent3+ years experience with automotive electronic systems and/or control logic, candidate must understand function of all electric vehicle systemsPreferred ExperienceExperience using a requirements management database (e.g. Polarion, DOORS, Jama, etc)Working knowledge of automotive software architecture and implementationWorking knowledge of automotive data collection & analysis tools (e.g. Vector CANalyzer)Understanding of binary and other related number systems (e.g.
