Job Overview: The Systems Engineer will be responsible for applying software, systems, and engineering principles to design, develop, test, integrate, and support machine-based data collection and connectivity systems. The role involves working across hardware, software, networking, and machine integration environments to deliver reliable and robust solutions.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities.
  • Good understanding of the complete software development lifecycle, including systems analysis, requirements gathering, functional specifications, development, testing, and delivery.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement system changes to resolve problems.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, computer hardware, and software.
  • Experience working with hardware/software integration and troubleshooting is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and support machine-based data collection systems and connectivity solutions across various equipment and operating environments.
  • Perform data collection, validation, and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable system performance.
  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot cameras, radar, LiDAR, GPS, and data acquisition hardware.
  • Execute system integration, validation, and field-testing activities for advanced safety and automation technologies.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and machine integration issues in laboratory and field environments.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, test procedures, validation plans, and technical reports.
  • Support proving ground, customer-site, and machine-testing activities, including occasional domestic and international travel.
  • Collaborate with global software, systems, controls, validation, and product support teams to deliver reliable solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing test processes, data quality, and overall system performance.
