Systems Engineer, Operations System Responsibility EngineerLocation: Las Cruces Level: Mid to Senior Schedule: 2nd and / or 3rd shift supporting 24/7 site operationsDPG Solutions is seeking a mid to senior level Systems Engineer to support 24/7 mission operations in Dulles, VA. This position supports operational systems that require high availability, disciplined troubleshooting, clear communication, and strong technical ownership.The ideal candidate has experience supporting complex systems in secure DoD, IC, or space related environments and is comfortable working non standard shifts. This role requires someone who can identify issues quickly, understand operational impact, coordinate across teams, and help keep mission systems stable and available.ResponsibilitiesSupport 2nd and / or 3rd shift operations for a 24/7 mission environmentAct as a System Responsibility Engineer for assigned operational systemsMonitor operational systems for health, performance, and availabilityTroubleshoot technical issues across systems, applications, infrastructure, and networksCoordinate with mission operations, engineering, cybersecurity, and customer stakeholdersSupport incident response, anomaly resolution, and root cause analysisDocument operational issues, shift activity, system status, and corrective actionsSupport configuration management, maintenance windows, testing, and system upgradesIdentify operational risks and recommend improvements to reliability and supportabilityMaintain a clear understanding of system dependencies and mission impactRequired QualificationsMid to senior level experience in systems engineering, operations engineering, or mission systems supportExperience supporting secure, high availability systems in an operational environmentStrong troubleshooting skills across Linux, Windows, network, infrastructure, or application layersAbility to work 2nd and / or 3rd shift as part of a 24/7 support modelExperience with operational monitoring, ticketing, incident escalation, and technical documentationAbility to communicate clearly with technical teams, mission users, and program leadershipActive TS/SCI clearance preferredDesired QualificationsExperience supporting IC, DoD, space, ground systems, or mission operations environmentsPrior experience as an Operations System Responsibility Engineer, Mission Systems Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Systems AdministratorFamiliarity with operational tools such as Splunk, Grafana, SolarWinds, Nagios, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar toolsExperience supporting RMF, STIG compliance, secure baselines, or classified system operationsScripting or automation experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or AnsibleExperience supporting system readiness, change control, and operational acceptance activitiesAbility to support fast moving operational priorities with limited supervisionOverview of Benefits:Company Funded 401k Profit Sharing Plan - 25% of base pay deposited every pay period - Vested day one of employmentAll Health Care Benefits and Premiums paid by company and with company HSA contributionAnnual Bonuses250 hours of PTO with up to 40 hours available to be carried overBiannual Company Sponsored Events for the employees and their familiesEducation Benefits - Cert reimbursement and tuition reimbursement
