Systems Engineer- Mid Level

Mid-Level Systems EngineerThe Mid-Level Systems Engineer position is a full-time exempt position. The individual will provide systems engineering expertise in requirements development, analysis, and management; systems architecture; Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE); Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development; data analysis; software/system integration and test; verification and validation; and system/software problem investigation and root-cause analysis. The Mid-Level Systems Engineer will work collaboratively with software engineering, test, and other technical disciplines throughout the system development lifecycle and will report directly to the Team Lead and assigned Product Owner.Requirements:BS degree in Computer Science, or an appropriate Engineering or Scientific discipline5-12 years' experience requiredKnowledge of Software & Systems Engineering Product Development Life CycleKnowledge of Defense and/or Naval defense systemsExperience with modeling and simulation of embedded softwareExperience with MATLAB and modeling & simulation toolsDemonstrated experience with Software Integration and Test.Demonstrated experience with Sensor Integration and TrackingFamiliarity with the following Tools: Git, Jenkins, DOORS, Cameo, Linux, PythonExcellent written and verbal communication skillsRoles & Responsibilities:Create, develop, and maintain requirementsSupport architecture development and CONOPsSupport design and implement new tactical capabilitiesUpdate, maintain, and utilize various simulation tools to support data analysisCreate presentations and reports in support of contract specific requirements.Create, run, and maintain test procedures and documentation.Develop test plans, test procedures, and test cases, incorporating automation where possible.Perform integration and test activities in-house or at site locations.Support other duties as assignedClearance:Active Secret security clearance requiredPhysical Requirements (The below requirements are standard, non-manufacturing physical req):Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of timeAbility to bend, stretch, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.Location: Largo, FloridaCummings Aerospace provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
