Systems EngineerLocation: Bossier City, LASchedule: Monday – Thursday 10 hours a day (40 hr week) Hours can be flexible; can come in earlier and can get off earlier, but must be onsite during core hours (8-5)Type: 6-month contract to hire w/ clientPay: $38-43/hr then $87k conversion w/ clientWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, additional years of experience in lieu of degree can be considered.Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience in Systems EngineeringRequired Technical Skills: Red Hat, Linux and Solaris (a plus)Security Clearance Level: SecretSecurity+ CE certification/DoD 8140 compliantLocation: On site in Bossier City, LAHOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACTContributes to completion of major engineering programs and projectsAssists in solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problemsAssists in highly complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the endAssists in overseeing highly complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools, Firewalls, SwitchesPerforms highly complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysisPerforms continual maintenance and provides highly complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problemsPrepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projectsMaintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology and works with management to evolve current processesMay provide guidance to less-experienced professionalsMay serve as a team or task leadEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
