Candidates can come from either a mechanical design or test/validation engineering background, with strong troubleshooting and analytical capability across mechanical and electrical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and support mechanical components and vehicle systems for heavy-duty platformsPerform test engineering, validation, and failure analysis on integrated systemsSupport test site operations, including troubleshooting and root cause analysisLead or support failure analysis procedures and corrective actionsCreate and modify 3D CAD models using PTC CreoWork within PLM systems such as WindchillSupport mechanical integration of complex systems, including supplier coordinationInterface with electrical/video systems and controls componentsTroubleshoot issues across mechanical, electrical, and software interfacesWork with CAN Bus communication protocols and system diagnosticsGenerate engineering documentation, reports, and test resultsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including design, test, manufacturing, and suppliersRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field3+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Mechanical Design Engineering, Test / Validation Engineering, Systems Integration EngineeringExperience with CAD tools (Creo preferred; SolidWorks, NX, CATIA acceptable)Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skillsAbility to work across mechanical and electrical systemsHigh-Value Preferred ExperienceBackground in test engineering, validation, or failure analysisExperience supporting test sites, field testing, or prototype buildsFamiliarity with CAN Bus / vehicle communication protocols, Electrical systems, sensors, or video systemsExperience with Automotive, defense, heavy equipment, robotics, or autonomous systemsExposure to Electrification (EV systems), Robotics / automation, Autonomous vehicle technologiesIdeal Candidate ProfilesMechanical Engineer with hands-on test or validation experienceTest Engineer with strong mechanical aptitude and CAD exposureSystems Engineer with vehicle integration and troubleshooting backgroundEngineers from defense, automotive, robotics, or off-highway industries
