That is why we offer excellent health benefits starting day one, a generous time-off package, and a fun, casual, and relaxed work environment where people genuinely enjoy what they do.Representative Responsibilities:Performs assigned project tasks under direct supervision of more senior-level engineersParticipates in the development effort under the direction of management and more senior team membersMakes design modifications or improvements to development projects with supervisionMaintains project reference documentationDevelops test and verification proceduresMay be involved in continuing engineering maintenance and manufacturing floor support of existing productsProvides task completion time estimatesAttends identified training classesParticipates as a team member, works effectively in a team environmentBecomes familiar with tools and applications utilized by departmentLearns department and corporate policies, procedures and plansDesign and fully test custom products to project specificationGenerates bills of materials and electricals for non-standard productsInforms Manufacturing of the most current project specificationsActs as a custom product resource for customers and ETC employeesProvides engineering support to Project Management, Tech Services and ManufacturingTrains internal personnel on the proper use of ETC custom products as requiredResearches and implements solutions to engineering and/or production issuesAssists Systems Engineer II on various tasksSoftware configuration of ETC and third-party equipment to meet the needs of the projectProvide assistance to R&D in development of new product as requiredEngineers international projectsParticipates in managing the Application Engineering HelpdeskAssists in Workshop classes if requiredPerforms other duties as assignedCompletes special projects and assignments in a positive and timely mannerTravel to job sites as requiredMinimum Qualifications:Technical Bachelor's DegreeAll levels of previous job-related experience will be consideredDemonstrates good written/verbal skillsHas good grasp of grammar and sentence structure for technical writingListens/gives constructive feedbackGood group interaction skillsAbility to follow directions and project plansDemonstrates ability to solve problems of limited scope and perform root cause analysisAnalyzes data using standard, straightforward methodsGrasps technical concepts and asks for clarification and direction when neededAbility to implement designs for well-defined blocksUnderstands and applies accepted engineering principles and practicesAssists with design or modification of a product, service, or processKnowledge of electrical systems, electrical standards and codesKnowledge of basic electronicsFamiliar with network topologyBasic CAD skillsAble to use small hand, power and testing tools
