Senior System Engineer Level 2Markon is seeking a Senior System Engineer Level 2 to support the deployment, installation, integration, modernization, and sustainment of critical Radio Frequency (RF) communication systems for the Fort Meade customer. This role leads the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and lifecycle support of packet-based hardware and software systems utilizing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) technologies. The position is responsible for driving end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, network, and RF components to ensure interoperability, operational performance, and mission success.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment of packet-based hardware and software systemsSupport the deployment, installation, modernization, and lifecycle management of RF communication systemsDrive end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, networking, and RF componentsDevelop and maintain system architectures, engineering documentation, and technical solutionsPerform requirements analysis, system design, integration testing, and operational validation activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve complex system, network, and communications issuesSupport modernization initiatives and technology refresh efforts across communication platformsCoordinate with engineers, operators, vendors, and Government stakeholders to ensure mission successDevelop and execute test plans, integration procedures, and deployment strategiesProvide technical leadership and engineering expertise throughout the system lifecycleQualifications Requirements: Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with the customerBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field required14+ years of systems engineering experience supporting complex communications, networking, or RF systemsExperience leading the design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of packet-based systemsExperience with COTS and GOTS hardware and software solutionsStrong background in RF communication systems and communications architecturesExperience performing end-to-end systems integration across hardware, software, network, and RF componentsExperience with systems engineering lifecycle processes, requirements management, and technical documentationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in operational environmentsExperience supporting system modernization and technology refresh initiativesExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder organizationsAbility to support mission-critical systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentSalary RangeUSD $150,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 /Yr.
