Space Domain Awareness Systems EngineerStep into a mission that quite literally operates above it all—supporting next-generation Space Domain Awareness capabilities that help safeguard critical national security interests.Position OverviewNS2 Mission seeking a Systems Engineer with strong experience in JIRA-driven release and configuration management to support a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. This individual will play a key role in managing releases, release artifacts, test environments, software baselines, tracking system changes, and ensuring seamless coordination across development and operational teams.Key ResponsibilitiesManage release workflows within JIRA, including sprint tracking, versioning, and deployment coordinationGenerate and maintain automated release notes and documentation within JIRA and associated toolsSupport Configuration Management (CM) activities, including managing and maintaining multiple, diverging software baselinesIdentify and mitigate challenges related to baseline integrity, version control, and system integrationCollaborate with developers, testers, and mission stakeholders to ensure traceability from requirements through deploymentAssist in developing and maintaining system engineering artifacts, processes, and documentationContribute to continuous improvement of release management and CM best practicesRequired QualificationsProven experience with JIRA for release management, bug tracking, and workflow configurationHands-on experience auto-generating release notes and managing release cycles in an Agile environmentSolid understanding of Configuration Management principles, including version control and baseline managementExperienced in Continuous integration and Agile Development techniquesExperience working with multiple concurrent software baselines and resolving associated challengesStrong oral and written communication skillsWork with various stakeholders to ensure system compatibility and operabilityStrong communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional technical teamsMust be able to work with software developers to assist in developing and presenting technical informationBachelor's/Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or MathPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting Space Domain Awareness (SDA), aerospace, or defense-related programsFamiliarity with IC or DoD mission environmentsExperience with additional tools such as Git, Confluence, or CI/CD pipelinesExperience/certification in SAFePosition Clearance Requirement:TS/SCI with consent to CI PolyPlease be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S security clearance which requires U.S citizenship.We win with inclusionNS2 Mission's culture of inclusion, focus on health and well-being, and flexible working models help ensure that everyone – regardless of background – feels included and can run at their best.
