The QTI Group is partnering with a Milwaukee-area managed service provider to hire their next Systems Engineer. The Systems Engineer will serve as a trusted technical advisor to various clients. This role blends advanced infrastructure design, hands-on support, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge as well as the ability to effectively communicate with clients throughout the greater Milwaukee area.
ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary technical lead for assigned clients, managing their IT environment
Design, configure and maintain infrastructure components, including servers, networks, firewalls and more
Implement and support cloud services in Azure, M365 and SharePoint
Perform server migrations, visualization deployments and network upgrades - both on-site and cloud environments
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support to Helpdesk teams, managing escalated tickets
Collaborate with Account Managers to perform Strategic Business Reviews with clients
Qualifications 8+ years of IT Infrastructure experience, MSP or consulting environment preferred
Strong technical proficiency in Windows Servers/Desktops, Microsoft / Azure, VPN and VLAN and network switches
Hands-on experience utilizing virtualization platforms (VMWare, Hyper-V)
Strong documentation, time management and client communication skills desired
