As a Systems Engineer , you will be part of a cross-functional team developing and deploying a state-of-the-art ground operational system. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission requirements into robust system designs, support software and system integration, and ensure solutions meet mission needs.
Responsibilities:
* Translate customer and mission requirements into architecture, design, and interfaces.
* Decompose end-to-end system requirements and coordinate with development and test teams.
* Support system/software design for cloud-based and ground-to-space communication systems.
* Apply systems engineering best practices throughout the system development lifecycle.
* Contribute to modeling, simulation, and analysis to support mission operations.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (Masters degree + 6 years experience acceptable).
* 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience. Agile experience preferred.
* Knowledge or experience in ground system design, satellite communications, or mission tracking.
* Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, MATLAB.
* Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like CAMEO or MagicDraw a plus.
* U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain Secret clearance within a reasonable time.
