Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to help build a formal robotics and automation strategy at a manufacturing site, supporting automation networks, controls standards, and new product development to deliver measurable manufacturing results.
Pay: $62.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and execute robotics and automation strategy to deliver measurable manufacturing results
- Support new product development automation needs, including installation, configuration, and deployment
- Develop and execute manufacturing methods and identify optimization opportunities
- Help establish and enforce site standards for controls, robotics, and automation
- Update and maintain the automation network and network equipment
- Support backup, recovery, and archive processes for the automation network
- Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot automation network performance
- Deploy and manage cybersecurity firewalls
- Manage embedded device operating systems
- Debug hardwired components and support facilities management
- Maintain standard engineering procedures and documentation
- Solve technical problems and work independently to meet timelines
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in systems engineering, industrial electrical engineering, computer/software engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in automated systems in manufacturing environments
- Experience with databases and scripting
- Experience with automation network support, firewall deployment, and embedded device operating systems
- US citizenship required due to government contract requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- AutoCAD, Studio 5000 Logix Designer, RSNetworx, and MS Office
- Experience with controls hardware design, components, and architectures
- Experience troubleshooting different component manufacturers and applications
- Experience evaluating and implementing controls standards
- Experience with PLC code and HMI screen development
- Strong communication, collaboration, and judgment
