He/she will help better serve the growing demand for CRDs managed service offerings, including: Remote Application Management, Hosted Application Management, and Software as a Service (SaaS).Responsibilities: Work closely with clients, provide expert level remote management, administration and support for client production of Company IMS solutions, including:Client assistance in optimal use of the systemUser administration/privilegesParameter configuration changesSystem availabilityApplication and database performance tuningDaily operational processing monitoring and supportCompany IMS and database software patchesCompany IMS version upgradesAssistance with problem support and resolutionBusiness Continuity/Disaster Recovery assistanceWork with CRD colleagues to smoothly transition new clients to production operationCollaborate with vendors as partners to deliver a tightly integrated, seamless service to CRD clientsParticipate in the development and on-going refinement, enhancement and continuous process improvement for the servicesContribute to the investigation, implementation, and operation of 3rd party tools to enhance/improve, automate, and streamline the delivery of the servicesRequirements: BS in an analytical field of study (IE Computer Science, Engineering, Technology and etc.) Experience in managing and supporting mission critical production software applications Database software or IT technical experience Company IMS or securities trading software experience is preferred Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Sybase database configuration, operations, and basic administration functions General knowledge and understanding of servers and networks is preferred Proven ability to work in a mission-critical operations and support environment Solid customer service skills and technical troubleshooting capability Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); good interpersonal skills Proven ability to partner with various internal departments to deliver superior customer service Occasional travel to customer sites for planning and review meetings Periodic off-hours support A background in portfolio management and trading system applications is preferred Any experience with the following is preferred: databases, server operating systems, servers, networks, job scheduling software, system monitoring software, clusters/high availability systems, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity, FIX Additional experience with any of the following software is desired, in order of preference:
