Mid-Level Systems AdministratorInstall, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows servers, workstations, and related software.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, and escalate when necessary.Monitor system performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to improve overall system performance.Manage and monitor backups, perform system restores, and maintain disaster recovery procedures.Create and maintain system documentation, policies, and procedures.Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and applications.Manage and monitor the company's IT security, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.Support end-users with software, hardware, and network issues.Perform regular system updates and patch management.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.3-5 years of experience in systems administration, with expertise in administering Linux and Windows platforms.Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix shell scripting, Windows PowerShell, or other scripting languages.Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols.Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS Platform.Understanding of IT security best practices and experience implementing security measures.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and within a team environment.Certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk or AWS X-Ray.Experience with database administration, such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
