System AdministratorThis position is fully on-site at our Rushville, IN terminal.Position OverviewThe System Administrator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, documentation, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes ensuring reliable performance of Windows-based servers, networking equipment, and core IT services.Key ResponsibilitiesServer AdministrationInstall, configure, and maintain Windows servers, both physical and virtual.Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.Monitor server performance, apply patches, and implement upgrades as needed.Manage storage solutions (SAN/NAS/QNAP/etc.) and backup/recovery systems (Datto)Network AdministrationConfigure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and wireless networks.Ensure network security through segmentation, access controls, and monitoring tools.Troubleshoot network performance issues and implement optimizations.Create and Maintain documentation of network diagrams, IP addressing, and equipment inventory.Security & ComplianceApply security best practices for servers and networks, including patching and hardening.Manage endpoint protection, IDS/IPS, and network monitoring tools.Assist with audits, compliance requirements, and cybersecurity initiatives.Support & ProjectsProvide Tier 2/3 technical support for escalated server and network issues.Collaborate with IT leadership on infrastructure upgrades and new technology rollouts.Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning/testing.Create and Maintain accurate technical documentation and SOPs.QualificationsEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)7+ years of professional experience in a technical IT capacity5+ years of combined experience and/or equivalent formal training in System AdministrationTechnical Skills:Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group PolicyExperience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and VPN technologiesFamiliarity with firewall management (SonicWall, Fortinet, Palo Alto, CATO, etc.)Including Next-Generation Firewall (FWaaS)Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutionsKey Competencies:Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and documentation abilitiesAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyProactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvementTeam player who can also work independentlyBenefitsHealth InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA) and Employer MatchingEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceEmployer Paid Life InsuranceVoluntary Life InsuranceEmployer Paid Short-Term DisabilityLong-Term DisabilityAccident CoverageHospital Indemnity Coverage401(k) and Employer MatchingPaid Time OffFraley and Schilling provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetic, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
