System AdministratorThe primary role of the System Administrator is to manage and support mission-critical IT infrastructure. This role involves day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance across Windows and UNIX systems. You'll work directly with both hardware and software systems in a dynamic, multi-platform environment.Position Responsibilities:Provide Tier I and II IT support and problem resolution.Manage client/server/storage/network infrastructure.Configure and manage RedHat Linux and Windows systems.Support vulnerability management using Nessus.Handle STE/STN scoring and documentation.Maintain POA&Ms and patch systems based on security and functional parameters.Collaborate with hardware vendors on system specs and refreshes.Analyze escalated issues and provide actionable feedback.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, and experienceMinimum 10+ years of system administration experienceStrong RedHat Linux and Windows (2012/2016/2019) troubleshooting skills.Familiarity with Nessus, POA&Ms, and STE/STN initiatives.Experience configuring UNIX and Windows environments.An active TS/SCI with Polygraph.Other Qualification & Desired Competencies:Experience with virtual environments and system capacity planning.Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000The BlueHalo, an AV Company, pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
