Overview
VTG is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and support enterprise IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of servers, networks, and systems while supporting day-to-day operations and long-term IT initiatives.
What will you do?
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and enterprise applications
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security across environments
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (Active Directory, IAM)
- Perform system patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across infrastructure
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
- Maintain system documentation, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with network engineers, security teams, and developers to support infrastructure needs
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Ensure systems comply with security policies and regulatory requirements
Do you have what it takes?
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration or IT operations
- Strong experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V)
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Experience with system monitoring tools and log management
- Proficiency in scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
