Systems AdministratorShift: 2nd shift hours = 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (5X8); Tuesday through Saturday eveningsDescription:The Systems Administrator is responsible for testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting moderately complex components of the systems infrastructure and the associated tools. You will provide issue and problem resolution for moderately complex issues and perform disaster recovery exercises associated with Infrastructure Tools. You will collaborate with customers, business partners, and engineering teams to develop, implement, and support appropriate IT solutions.Monitoring multiple ticket/change queuesWorks on small to large, moderately complex assignmentsWorks with a team of system engineers to support solutions to meet business goalsMonitoring of system events providing initial service remediation efforts related to events generated on multi-platform applicationsTroubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, and assessing the impact of issuesImplementation of change tasks, including patch deployments, software deployments, and application upgradesImplementation of standard request fulfillment activities, including server builds, system adjustments and decommissioning activitiesServe as an internal escalation point within operationsAnalysis and transition of tasks between teams within Platform ServicesUtilize an interactive job submission application toolFollows operational best practices and standard operating procedures for deployment, support, break-fix, and systems managementCreation and maintenance of documentation as it pertains to transitioned tasksCreate, document, and maintain global processes as they pertain to Platform ServicesMake recommendations and implement improvements for the Platform Services departmentMakes recommendations for new procedures and processes for the departmentNormally receives minimal instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignmentsRequired:Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S.

without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the futureMust be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilitiesMinimum 2 years of system administration experience with Windows server 2012 – 2019Knowledge of Windows server technologies, including Active Directory, DNS and DHCPStrong analytical skills/root cause analysis skillsUnderstanding the operating system theory, core infrastructure, 3rd party software products, and client/server hardware components.Experience with installing system patchesPreferred:Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems, plus two or more years of related work experienceMinimum 6 months of system administration experience with UNIX and Linux server technologiesExperience with system management tools including WSUS, SCCM, SCOM and SCORCHExperience packaging Windows applications using SCCMCertifications or experience with virtual infrastructures such as VMwareCertifications or experience in cloud infrastructures such as Azure and AWSBasic experience of working with middleware software such as Weblogic and TomcatKnowledge of the Agile methodology and tools like Jira and ConfluenceExperience with Office 365
