Experience with military or government programs.Job Code/TitleL1465:Systems Engineer MgrJob DescriptionThe position will be a manager of a System Safety team supporting aerospace programs in Marietta, Georgia. This person will be responsible for all aspects of program staffing (re-assignments and placements, recruitment and selection of new employees and terminations) and personnel management (training, mentoring, career development, performance and compensation, and promotions). What You Will Be Doing: • This person will lead a team of approximately 20-25 employees. • The chosen candidate will manage technical execution of the system safety discipline across multiple programs as an extension of the chief engineer office. • The candidate will develop talent in this discipline and provide training for employees as necessary. • The candidate should be capable of performing qualitative and quantitative hazard analyses to conduct risk assessments and trade studies needed to evaluate and optimize design choices and recommend appropriate controls to mitigate safety hazards. • This position requires extensive interface and coordination of system safety activities with design teams, suppliers, internal management and external customers. • The candidate should also have an understanding of adjacent disciplines for efficient collaboration and trade-offs supporting all program objectives. • The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and collaborative behaviors, analytical thinking and business acumen skills, exceptional organizational skills, proactive thinking, and be able to operate autonomously as appropriate, and produce superior work products under short deadlines. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
