If you are looking for a place to not only be professionally challenged, but encouraged and supported by a company that cares, don't look any further than Cornerstone Defense.Job Responsibilities:Design of concise, testable safety requirements or providing safety analysis of existing requirementsPerforming System Safety Program or Design analysesPlacement in challenging or under-performing programs with the expectation of improvement of the safety programManaging multiple-large system safety programs or a safety product lineCollaborating with other disciplines during program technical executionInterfacing with key stakeholders (e.g.
customers, program offices, subcontractors, vendors)Mentoring Multiple Jr. EngineersPreparing Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for Customer ApprovalStreamlining processes and reports across a product line for improved efficiencyBriefing safety of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval processInterpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standardsPreparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety programCollaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and designOn-Site Means they will be working at a Raytheon Facility.Qualifications:Typically Requires: Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR an Associate's degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience. In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.Experience with: System Safety Engineering, System Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, or equivalent Safety Engineering experience in areas such as Aerospace, Automotive or Medical Device.The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.System thinking and the desire to influence the program as a whole.Experience with industry System Safety Programs (especially in DoD or Aerospace fields).Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.Strong interpersonal and project management skills, with the ability to manage a safety program and provide direction to supporting safety personnel.Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).Experience working with US Military programs.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
