Houston Methodist is seeking a Medical Director to provide strategic direction and oversight for all occupational and employee health services across its 8 hospitals and 34,000,000 employees. This role involves cultivating strong relationships and serving as a medical leader liaison, contributing directly to the organization's success. The Medical Director will partner with the Director of Employee Health and Occupational Medicine to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight of all occupational/employee health services for Houston Methodist's 8 hospitals and 34,000,000 employees
  • Cultivate strong relationships and serve as the medical leader liaison offering hospital wide engagement and collaboration
  • Directly contribute to Houston Methodist's success
  • Partner with Director of Employee Health and Occupational Medicine to fulfill the organization's goals and mission
  • Collaborate with multiple mid-level providers

Shift & Schedule

  • Work Shift: 1 - Day

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school or college of osteopathy
  • Current active TX state medical license in good standing or ability to quickly obtain
  • Board Certification in Occupational Medicine
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field of Occupational medicine
  • A minimum of 3 years demonstrated leadership successfully supervising medical, health and safety personnel in a healthcare/hospital Employee Health setting
