System Integration EngineersOur organization is seeking innovative and solutions-oriented Engineers to support the delivery of next-generation fulfillment systems using advanced technology. Successful candidates are self-starters with prior engineering experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, including design, development, implementation, testing, and support. This role is integral to the technology deployment cycle, responsible for the successful commissioning of equipment for on-site testing and operation.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the installation and commissioning of complex, cross-functional projects.Follow all applicable industry, site, and machine-specific safety policies.Work with internal teams to deliver high-quality, cross-functional projects.Utilize internal tools to follow documented processes, partnering with internal teams to refine or create procedures.Contribute to project success by capturing and recording KPI metrics.Conduct deep dives into technical solutions involving advanced technology, conveyor hardware, and material handling integration.Communicate status, answer questions, and produce clear summaries for owned items.Capture and synthesize issues and lessons learned to improve systems and processes.Travel up to 100% throughout the assigned region based on project locations.Ability to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends.Required QualificationsLevel 2 Experience:3+ years of control system experience, including PLC/IPC based controls design, development, implementation, and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, CODESYS).Experience with Linux/Unix command line interface.Experience working with technical documentation such as information flow diagrams, electrical schematics, and equipment layouts.Familiarity with electrical circuits, wiring, and electronic components (e.g., I/O validation, continuity checks).Experience in testing and implementing software for embedded operating systems.Experience in industrial networking, including topology design and familiarity with TCP/IP and Fieldbus applications.Level 3 Experience:5+ years of control system experience, including PLC/IPC based controls design, development, implementation, and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, CODESYS).All qualifications listed for Level 2.General Qualifications:Experience safely working on and around 3-phase electrical systems.Must have LOTO certification through their employer and be able to produce training records and certification.Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.Preferred QualificationsA bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology, instrumentation, or a related field.Prior experience with complex, automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, or robotics (e.g., FANUC, ABB, UR).Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or Ruby.Demonstrated ability to combine controls and software systems engineering skills.Experience in a distribution center environment.Demonstrated design or implementation experience with integrated automation solutions.Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
