This role is responsible for integrating complex hardware and software systems and executing comprehensive system-level testing to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with technical requirements.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in highly technical, cross-functional environments.Key Responsibilities:Plan and execute system integration and testing activities for advanced communications platformsPerform hands-on integration of hardware and software subsystems, identifying and resolving interface and performance issuesCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define integration requirements and address technical challengesConduct system-level testing in controlled lab environments as well as field or over-the-air testing scenariosAnalyze test results and provide clear documentation, reports, and actionable recommendationsTrack and communicate integration progress and status updates to stakeholdersDevelop and maintain automated test scripts and procedures to improve testing efficiency and coverageSupport system verification, validation, and acceptance testing effortsQualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s in electrical or computer engineering with an emphasis in RF/microwave, communications systems, or telecommunications (M.S. a plus, not required)Coursework in RF/microwave circuit design, antenna theory, digital/analog communications, signal processing (DSP), and electromagneticsExperience:A minimum of 0–3 years of experience in communications or RF systemsPreferred Qualifications:RF/Communications or Telecommunications experienceHands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, power metersExperience with arbitrary waveform generators and signal injection techniquesFamiliarity with modulation/demodulation schemes (QPSK, etc) and link budget analysisWorking knowledge of 4G LTE and 5G architectures including Core and RAN functionsExposure to telecom test equipment (Keysight, Anritsu, etc)Understanding of over-the-air (OTA) test methodologies and RF link characterizationLab based hardware integration (bench assembly, cabling, harnessing)Test procedure development, execution, and reportingRoot cause analysis and anomaly resolution/troubleshootingEligibility to obtain or maintain a security clearance (if required)Soft Skills:Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse engineering teamsProven ability to troubleshoot complex problems and think critically under pressureExcellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and reportingMeticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in testing and reporting deliverablesStrong organizational and time management skills in fast-paced environmentsTechnology Stack:Programming and analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB, or similarTest and measurement equipment for system validationAutomation tools or scripting frameworks for test executionData analysis and reporting toolsGeneral engineering design and collaboration platformsPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in a standard office, lab, or testing environmentAbility to operate a computer and technical equipment for extended periodsMay require occasional lifting of light equipment or working in specialized test environmentsAdditional RequirementsDue to the nature of this role and applicable federal regulations, U.S. citizenship is required.
