Job Title: Systems Engineer
Join Peyton Resource Group as a Systems Engineer supporting complex defense systems. This full-time, mid-senior level role offers a competitive salary, approximately $155,000, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply systems engineering methodologies for development, verification, delivery, and operation of systems and subsystems.
- Manage requirements allocation, traceability, and verification throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee subsystem integration and lead system testing, including developing test plans with the Project Engineer.
- Support technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) with documentation and presentations.
- Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools for requirements traceability and interface development.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide data-driven recommendations for system improvements.
- Develop and document Interface Control Documents (ICD).
- Drive design improvements to enhance system reliability, maintainability, and commonality.
- Manage verification and validation documentation to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adhere to DoD regulations.
- Support engineering proposals aligning with business and customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Systems, or related Engineering fields.
- 5-10 years of experience in systems installation, integration, and testing within the defense industry.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Strong leadership, communication skills, and technical problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with systems engineering tools like Cameo, SysML, DOORS, MATLAB.
- Knowledge of RF systems, radar, antennas, and military standards is a plus.
- Willingness to travel 10-20% based on project needs.
