F-35 Senior System Engineer (Testing)BAE Systems has an exciting opportunity for an F-35 Senior System Engineer (Testing) on the Data Analysis, Products, and Services (DAPS) team. The F-35 Senior System Engineer (Testing) will write and carry out detailed test plans for the F-35 Prognostic Health Management (PHM) Platform in support of the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS). This role will ensure to our customers that the algorithms the team develops meets the desired requirements and operate as the maintainer would expect in the field. This ensures the F-35 fleet remains highly available and mission capable all while driving overall fleet maintenance costs down. The applicant must be a self-starter and have an acumen for testing new technologies to industry standards.
They must be able to quickly solve problems, possess the aptitude to analyze root causes and utilize organizational skills to prepare and present findings to the broader team.Responsibilities include:Collaboration with software engineers to create test plans within an ALIS environmentDevelop and maintain tests and testing environment.Carry out testing within an ALIS environment to industry standardsCollaborate with BAE SYSTEMS and Lockheed Martin subject matter experts (SME's)Develop validation and verification scenariosWork collaboratively and efficiently with a development team that has a footprint in the US and the UK.Analyze and Verify System Requirements.Produce documentation outlining their analysisDeveloping a systems engineering plan to provide essential Structures PHM capability within a Global Sustainment toolset.Working within an Agile Development environment, as part of a small team, to provide detailed System Design and preliminary Software DesignDeveloping technical route maps in readiness for major customer reviewsInterface with a variety of stakeholders (both internal and external to BAES) to develop software capabilitiesManage a complex workload according to the needs of the contracted scheduleProviding internal progress reportsAttending and providing input to customer review meetingsRequired Education, Experience, & Skills:Bachelor's degree in STEM or other related field (or equivalent experience) with at least four years of professional experience.Knowledge of the F-35 program and ALISExperience in developing and writing test plansExperience in execution of manual or automated test casesExperience in system engineering methodologiesExperience using ALIS programs such as CMMS and SHMAbility to work independently with general guidance from technical manager.Able to converse about technical content with a diverse range of stakeholdersExperience with Configuration Management Processes and Tools.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:Experience with database management software such as Oracle SQL Developer or DBeaverExperience writing and executing SQL scripts and queriesALIS Admin experienceExperience using Common Desktop Environment (CDE) or System Test ToolExperience utilizing the Atlassian Tool Suite: JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucketProven communication experience across diverse teams in multiple locationsExperience with aircraft maintenance practices and proceduresF-35 Supervisor ExperienceALIS Admin ExperiencePay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $88189 - $ Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
