Systems Engineer – Slack Administrator/EngineerWe are seeking a Slack Platform Administrator to support the Collaboration team by managing additional Slack instances and assisting with their migration into the enterprise Slack environment. This role focuses heavily on Slack administration, security controls, access management, and instance migration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering Slack in an enterprise environment and a strong understanding of Slack security models, guest access, and integrations.
While development skills are not required, familiarity with Slack APIs and Slack app concepts is important.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and manage multiple Slack instances, including temporary or standalone environmentsEnsure Slack instances comply with enterprise security standards, including access controls and lockdown requirementsManage guest accounts and external access in accordance with security policiesSupport the migration of Slack instances into the primary enterprise Slack environmentAssist with migrating Slack applications and integrations, including reviewing scopes and permissionsPartner with internal security and collaboration teams to ensure compliance and smooth transitionsProvide operational support for Slack-related configuration, access, and administration tasksRequired QualificationsHands-on experience administering Slack in an enterprise or large-scale environmentStrong understanding of: Slack workspace settingsUser and guest account managementSecurity and access controlsWorking knowledge of Slack APIs and how integrations/apps functionAbility to operate independently with minimal training on Slack fundamentalsPreferred / Nice-to-Have QualificationsExperience migrating Slack workspaces or consolidating Slack environmentsFamiliarity with Slack app development concepts (not required to code)Experience working with enterprise security or compliance teamsBackground supporting collaboration tools in large organizationsInterview ProcessTechnical interview focused on real-world Slack administration scenariosQuestions will validate hands-on experience (not theoretical knowledge)Emphasis on practical understanding of Slack settings, security, and APIs
