System Engineer Level 1Ops Tech Alliance (OTA) is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to support complex programs by applying systems engineering principles across the full system lifecycle. This role ensures technical integrity, quality, and completeness of deliverables while supporting mission-critical objectives in a dynamic government environment. This position requires some travel up to 10 days, 3 times per year.Key ResponsibilitiesApply systems engineering processes across all lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirementSupport and implement activities aligned with ISO/IEC 15288 systems engineering standard process areasInterface directly with Government stakeholders to address technical considerations, risks, issues, and conflict resolutionEnsure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of engineering products and deliverablesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, developers, and senior leadershipSupport requirements development, system design, integration, testing, and validation activitiesIdentify and manage system-level risks and provide mitigation strategiesContribute to technical reviews, briefings, and program status reports for Government and executive audiencesMaintain compliance with program standards, policies, and contractual requirementsRequired ClearanceTS/SCI with Full Scope PolygraphRequired QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus one (1) year of systems engineering experience.ORTwelve (12) credit hours of college coursework in one (1) or more of the ISO/IEC 15288 Technical Process Areas may be substituted for the required one (1) year of systems engineering experience.ORA High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area) may be substituted for a Bachelor's degreeExperience with coding Python and Visual Basic for applicationsStrong experience in applying RF theoretical and academic knowledge in EMI testing unintended emissions within HF, VHF, and UHF spectrumFamiliar with RF tools (network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes) and components (amplifiers, filters, isolators, attenuators, terminators, etc)Formulating and documenting test plansDraft and issue technical recommendations through formal test reportsSpecify and/or review system and component technical performance requirements to ensure optimal functionality while meeting E3 noise electric field limit.Collaborate internal and external agency stakeholders to ensure technical support enables the E3 Program and customer mission requirementsMust be able to travel 3 times per year for 7-10 days at a timePreferred but not required: experience in electromagnetic compatibility testing, electromagnetic interference mitigation, and/or antenna calibrationCompany OverviewOps Tech Alliance (OTA) was founded by former National Security and Special Operations professionals with over 100 years of combined experience, and was formed with a singular focus: to bridge the gap between operations and technology to enable mission success.
