Systems EngineerThe Precision Analog-to-Digital Converter (ASC-DCC-PADC) team is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer. In this role, you will work in a vibrant, team-oriented environment with exposure to a broad range of state-of-the-art signal chain applications.TI offers the industry's largest portfolio of ADCs — spanning 8 to 32 bits in resolution — with best-in-class performance, compact footprint, and high signal-chain integration. Our ADC solutions power a wide range of fast-evolving applications including datacenters, test & measurement, factory and building automation, automotive, medical instrumentation, and more.We are seeking a candidate with deep analog signal chain expertise and a strong ability to translate customer system-level needs into next-generation ADC product definitions. This engineer will be expected to develop detailed product specifications, define system-level architectures, and provide cross-functional guidance to design, test, applications, and marketing teams to ensure flawless execution.Responsibilities may include:Deeply understand customer systems and end-equipment to identify technical challenges across the full analog signal chain (sensors, amplifiers, references, ADCs, and digital interfaces)Analyze key end-equipment in datacenter, automotive and industrial markets to identify future trends and opportunities for performance improvement and differentiationDevelop compelling short- and long-term product roadmaps grounded in system-level insights, market trends, and customer engagementAuthor detailed product specifications (target specs, system block diagrams, competitive benchmarking) for next-generation precision ADC solutionsAssess and negotiate IC development tradeoffs with design teams and customers to balance performance, power, area, and costDrive execution from initial concept through RTM, ensuring critical performance metrics and customer timelines are metServe as the technical expert for product ramp-up, supporting customers through design-in and volume production phasesCollaborate with marketing and applications teams to develop high-quality technical collateral (application notes, reference designs, white papers) that accelerate product adoptionRelentlessly pursue new design wins for both new and existing products through deep technical engagement with customers and field teamsCreate and review technical documentation including datasheets, application notes, and system design guidesBuild strong relationships with customers and field teams by identifying and solving real-world signal chain problems with TI siliconProvide strategic input on business direction and revenue planning to sustain and grow market shareQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering5+ years of experience in systems engineering, applications engineering, or analog/mixed-signal IC designHands-on experience with analog signal chains, including ADCs, amplifiers, voltage references, or related componentsExperience developing differentiated product roadmaps tied to market and customer insightsStrong understanding of analog and mixed-signal IC specifications and their system-level implicationsExperience promoting/marketing ICs and driving design wins through system-level solutionsProven involvement in the product development lifecycle, from concept through volume productionComfortable engaging in deep, in-depth technical discussions with systems engineers and customersPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated expertise in precision ADC architectures (SAR, Delta-Sigma, Pipeline) and their application in real-world signal chainsExperience with signal chain system design — noise budgeting, dynamic range analysis, anti-aliasing filters, grounding/layout best practicesFamiliarity with key application domains such as control systems, power measurement, data acquisition, or ADASStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to model and simulate signal chain performanceExcellent verbal and written communication skills — able to present complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesProven ability to collaborate effectively across design, applications, test, marketing, and sales functionsStrong time management and project execution skills in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environmentSelf-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive results with minimal supervisionAbout UsWhy TI?Engineer your future.
