Job Title: Linux Engineer

DAY TO DAY
  • The Engineer is responsible for building a platform to support the full stack including application integration, performance management, security implementation, configuration management, and problem management against an array of services and function at a platform and host level.
  • Design, develop, and implement Ansible playbooks and roles to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments
  • Perform extensive troubleshooting and technical support for both hardware and software issues that may arise
  • Perform design and architecture duties
  • Assist with production support team
MUST HAVES
  • 8+ years working as a Linux Engineer
  • Ansible skills for automation
  • Visio experience for creating data flow diagrams
  • Enterprise Database Administration such as MySQL, Oracle, Maria DB, MS SQL Server
  • Apache Tomcat
  • Knowledge of TLS certificates, different certificate container formats, as well as understanding of the entire certificate chain.
  • Experience with configuration, usage, troubleshooting of Load Balancers (F5/AVI/vmWare/etc).
  • Experience with VMWare concepts of creating and managing VMs
  • Shell scripting
  • Load balancer troubleshooting
  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment and ability to write Jira stories
  • Great communication skills
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $62 - $65 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
