Summary:
The Director of Quality & Safety is a key clinical leader responsible for executing the strategic vision, daily operations, and direct oversight of the health system’s Clinical Quality and Patient Safety departments. Serving as the vital link between administration and operational leadership. This role is instrumental in fostering a \"Zero Harm\" culture and high reliability, ensuring the integrity of clinical data, the effective management of patient grievances, ensures that Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) are conducted effectively and timely, specifically targeting and addressing systemic issues to reduce patient harm and improve patient outcomes.
Other information:
1. Education :Clinical degree required (e.g., RN, BSN, APP, PharmD); and Bachelor's degree required; and Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business (MBA), Nursing (MSN), or Public Health (MPH), or related field is required.
2. Certifications/Licensure: Current, unencumbered clinical license in the state of practice. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) are strongly preferred.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in Quality, Patient Safety, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, or Hospital Clinical Department within an acute care hospital system; Demonstrated, hands-on experience managing, leading, or significantly contributing to successful CMS surveys and TJC accreditation processes; Strong clinical acumen required to conduct thorough, credible investigations of complex patient safety events;Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret clinical data and trends.
This job will be authorized80.00 hours bi-weekly.
