Northwell Health is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as Chief of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of nuclear medicine/molecular imaging services across the Northwell Health System, including clinical operations, research initiatives, educational programs, and fiscal performance.
Practice Info
- The Division has nine full time faculty including 7 physicians, a physicist, and a radiochemist.
- Faculty participate in clinical and teaching activities and in multidisciplinary meetings.
- The Division performs the full range of nuclear medicine/molecular imaging examinations at the Health System's main campuses and at our affiliated sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging service line across the Northwell Health System.
- Oversee clinical operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, promoting the development and implementation of cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Develop and manage the division's budget and resources effectively.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier faculty and staff.
- Collaborate with other clinical departments and leadership to integrate nuclear medicine/molecular imaging services seamlessly into the broader healthcare system.
- Lead and participate in research initiatives, contributing to the advancement of the field.
- Oversee and develop educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows.

Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Nuclear Medicine.
- Extensive clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine/Molecular Imaging, including a strong background in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in a complex healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
- Experience in theragnostic, cardiac PET, and clinical trials is desirable.
