The Work This position is for a Deputy Technical Director within the Ground Based Air Surveillance Radar Chief Engineering organization. Responsible for ensuring that the radar system architecture meets the requirements of a given program. Develops modifications to existing products to meet unique customer needs, and supports/leads the development of next-generation products within this market segment. Leads/oversees technical work products developed by the larger engineering team, supporting design reviews and integration and test activities as needed. Supports capture activities, including RFI/RFP preparation, customer presentations and live demonstrations, and competitor analysis. Leads formal customer sell-off events, and supports troubleshooting fielded radar systems. In addition, he/she maintains knowledge of current and developing technologies and develops strategies for their insertion into both legacy and next-generation radar systems. Presents to customers and senior management and tailors the material based on the audience. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
