We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented team.Location(s): Richmond, VAJob Summary: Seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in business and process analysis, requirements gathering, and testing to support the evaluation and implementation of a new investment data platform.The successful candidate will work with an Investment Decision Support (IDS) team responsible for managing investment data throughout its lifecycle.

The team partners closely with investment stakeholders to understand business data needs, develop decision-support solutions, and continuously improve data quality, integrity, and availability. This role will support the assessment of current-state processes, data flows, and systems while helping define future-state capabilities aligned with strategic investment objectives.Key Responsibilities:Partner with investment stakeholders to document current-state business processes, systems, and data flows, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Conduct stakeholder interviews and working sessions to gather business requirements for a new investment data platform.Elicit, document, and manage business and technical requirements.Support the design of future-state workflows and operating models.Develop an understanding of existing investment systems, data architecture, integrations, and dependencies.Create and maintain documentation including:Business requirementsProcess mapsCurrent and future-state assessmentsData flow diagramsAssist with data mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities during implementation.Develop and execute testing plans, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Support change management, training, and transition activities.Perform data analysis, reporting, and process improvement as the platform is implemented and stabilized.Participate in additional strategic initiatives as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.7+ years of experience in:Business analysisRequirements gathering and documentationBusiness process improvementTechnical process analysisTest planning and executionStrong analytical and critical thinking skills.Excellent attention to detail.Proven experience creating technical documentation such as requirements documents and process maps.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with SQL and/or Python.Experience using reporting and data visualization tools such as:SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)TableauPower BIExperience with Power Automate or other Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.Experience within the investment management or financial services industry.Desired Skills:Business Systems AnalysisBusiness Process AnalysisRequirements GatheringBusiness Requirements DocumentationTechnical DocumentationProcess MappingData Flow AnalysisData MappingData ValidationData ReconciliationUser Acceptance Testing (UAT)SQLPythonTableauPower BISSRSPower AutomateInvestment DataFinancial ServicesChange ManagementStakeholder ManagementAmpcus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
