We are seeking an experienced System Administrator responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, documentation, operation, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and related infrastructure. In this role, you will work under limited supervision, utilizing your experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals while ensuring continual innovation in systems engineering and operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Systems Engineering & Provisioning: Install new and rebuild existing servers. Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with organizational standards and project requirements.
• Monitoring & Security: Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Conduct regular security monitoring to identify potential intrusions.
• Backups & Data Management: Perform and verify daily backup operations, ensuring all file systems and data are successfully backed up to appropriate media/network locations. Perform regular file archival and purging as necessary.
• Tier III Support & Troubleshooting: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues. Diagnose and recover from hardware or software failures while coordinating and communicating with impacted teams.
• User Management: Create, change, and delete user accounts as requested.
• Upgrades & Patching: Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis. Upgrade administrative tools, utilities, system software, and asset management applications as dictated by operational needs.
• Performance & Optimization: Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions. Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
• Reporting: Maintain operational and configuration procedures. Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.

Qualifications
• Experience: 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in systems administration or a closely related field.
• Technical Preferences: Experience with VMware ESXi 7.x (or higher), Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025), and Linux environments is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within systems administration.
• Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks.
• Strong capacity to work with considerable latitude for initiative, creativity, and independent judgment.
