We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.Your future duties and responsibilities:Maintain legacy Sybase applicationsPerform DB and software life cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availabilityPerform applications and infrastructure supportPerform Production Support and Application Release rolloutsPerform patching and upgradesBe part of rotational on-call support once a month or 4-6 weeks cycleTrouble-shoot performance issues and implement fixesImplement Enterprise DB mandates, standards, ensure integrity /security of multiple DB'sPerform Backup / Restore operations, DB Optimization activitiesSetup and Maintain Replica environmentsAssist in Cloud Migration using Sybase as source to target DB like Postgress, RedshiftRequired qualifications to be successful in this role:8-10 years of extensive experience in Sybase database administration.Strong Hands-on Experience in configuration/set-up for Sybase Replication Server.Strong Hands-on Experience in Linux and Solaris environments.Strong experience in Sybase back-ups, Monitoring of Data servers and Replication servers.Strong experience in performance tuning and diagnostics to troubleshoot.Working experience in AWS cloud environment.Excellent people skills.Strong communication and presentation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Provide 24/7 on call production support on rotation basisDesired Skillset:Knowledge of hosting Sybase in AWS is a strong plusExperience with Cloud transformation using Sybase as source preferredAWS Certification is a strong plusEducational Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
