This is a core software engineering role in our multifaceted and fast-paced quantitative development team. You will be ‘embedded’ within the quantitative research team and you will partner with the investment teams on various projects including portfolio construction, risk management, and alpha research. You will build high quality, robust, and efficient analytical solutions that will be used to improve Fixed Income’s investment processes.
This role impacts the organization by improving the quality and time-to-market of Research initiatives through a combination of both analytical and software development skills. The assignments will include gathering the ideas, conceptualizing them through a programming language, and crafting a packaged solution that can be used by the investment professionals.Primary Location: Merrimack, NHAdditional Locations: Jersey City, NJThe Expertise You HaveBachelor's degree (or above) in either Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics or Finance related field5+ years of software engineering experience delivering software using agile development practicesExpertise in defining test cases at the right level of detail and define test cases and ensure acceptance criteria matches real business value – i.e. ensure we are testing the right thingsExpert knowledge in test automation frameworks and demonstrate proficiency, quality and passion in your coding ability.Deep knowledge of the SDLC process and how different test types from unit, behavioral, component & E2E are used through the cycle.Curate the suite of tests to ensure a minimal comprehensive set (eliminate duplication, recognize gaps)Programming experience with Unix/Linux shell, Perl scripting and Python a plusExperience with Excel and VB macrosExperience with technologies to implement test automation such as Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, FitnesseComfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.Passionate about engineering excellence with a solid understanding of object-orientated programming.
