Position Summary:
The publications student worker provides printing and publications support for Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, including printing, copying, scanning for staff and faculty, purchasing and managing supplies, managing the faculty lounge, and reporting charges to the Business Office. The student worker is expected to work independently and communicate needs with the Marketing and Communications department.

Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Printing/Copying/Scanning/Faxing
- Monitor the email address for requests
- Assist staff and faculty with their printing/copying/scanning/faxing needs
- Cutting using the cutter when requested.
- Binding copies (making book) when requested.
- Create and maintain monthly printing charge form for business office
- Printer/Copiers management (Publication Services only):
- Check/ Purchase consumables: toners, staples, and others
- Check other issues like jamming or others
- Supplies and Storage Management:
- Check supplies charge sheet and report monthly supply charges to Business Office
- Purchasing supplies:
- Fulfill department supply purchase requests
- Report charges to business office
- Faculty Lounge Management
- Check Copy machine: Toner, copy paper, etc. (check consumables)
- Ensure supply cabinet is stocked. If requested, purchase or deliver items to Faculty Lounge
- FedEx
- Check the FedEx supplies: box, bill, etc.

- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, crawl, safely climb a step ladder up to 10 feet, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to have repetitive wrist hand and/or finger movement to type and work on computer. Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work on computer, telephone, and related office equipment. The individual will regularly be required to communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and through email; and to sit, type, and stare at a computer monitor for prolonged periods.
- Work environment: This is an in-person position. Employee occasionally may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time but work is primarily performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
