Able to debug on the aircraft (UAS) at the flight test center (Byron AFB, east of San Francisco)3. With Mission and Safety Critical application experience.Tools and SW:Mostly flight controls and autopilot.Protocols: Mostly CAN + RS422/485 + Ethernet/UDPRequirements Database Management Tool(s)- JAMAConfiguration Management Tool(s)- Jira, GITAll flight software is C++ developed on a Linux host. We have lots of support tooling written in Python.
Effective candidates will need to be proficient in both.Define success criteria:Near term is broken into two flight milestones as you've described, hover-in-ground, hover-out-of-ground.Mid-term would be transition to forward flight, followed by starting in earnest on our "certified path" (non RnD) aircraft implementationLong term supporting multiple programs both certified and non-certified, scaling for manufacturing. Both will require a significantly larger team.
