Overview

Carolina PRG has partnered with an Uptown HQ to identify a proven SVP/Corporate Controller to complement their highly respected executive leadership team and to manage a team of 20+ accounting professionals.

Base pay range

$270,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations.
  • Develop and manage the annual budgeting process and work with department heads to create accurate financial forecasts. Monitor variances and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop accounting strategies that support the company's growth and profitability objectives. Provide financial insights and guidance on key decisions.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and procedures to safeguard the company's assets, ensure compliance, and minimize financial risks.
  • Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit. Address audit findings and implement necessary improvements.
  • Evaluate and implement systems to streamline processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance data analytics.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 20+ accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA certification required
  • Prior Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Corporate Controller
  • Experience managing director level employees and teams of 12+
  • Current experience with a company experiencing significant growth
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, technical accounting, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
