Sustainability Consultant – China Market Compliance

Sustainability ConsultantLocations: Austin, TXDuration: 6 MonthsSalary Range: $50- $59/Hour on W2 (All inclusive)Applicants must be able to work on W2 without any Visa sponsorshipKey ResponsibilitiesAssess China regulatory and customer sustainability expectations and translate them into actionable requirements.Lead gap assessments across product and supplier sustainability including GHG emissions, energy usage, waste, water, and materials compliance.Develop and implement roadmaps for ESG compliance, reporting readiness, and supplier decarbonization initiatives.Define data frameworks, KPIs, and governance models to ensure traceability, transparency, and audit readiness.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customer stakeholders to drive execution and ensure alignment.Prepare executive-level reports and communicate sustainability progress and risks effectively.Must-Have SkillsStrong ESG/sustainability consulting experience (carbon accounting, decarbonization, supply chain sustainability, audits).Good understanding of China sustainability regulations and supplier ecosystem.Experience in manufacturing or electronics supply chain environments.Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and structured problem-solving skills.Ability to translate ESG requirements into operating models and data/digital solutions.Preferred Experience8–10+ years in sustainability consulting or related roles.Exposure to global manufacturing or electronics supply chains preferred.
